Appellation: Dry Creek Valley
Winemaking: Picked early in the morning with the cooling of the fog still lingering in the valley. The fruit was hand harvested and whole cluster pressed to retain the authenticity of the grape. The juice was cold fermented in stainless steel tanks and new French Oak for approximately 6 months.
Barrel Aging: 4 months in 100% new French Oak barrels
Release: December 2007
Bottled: April 5, 2006
Production: 620 cases
Analysis: Alcohol 14.5%
Tasting Notes: A clean crisp burst of grapefruit, pineapple, fig and white flowers leads to a round creamy palate of concentrated pineapple, apricot, lemon and brioche flavors. This is a refreshingly delicious Sauvignon Blanc with the curvaceously rich body of a Chardonnay. A wine that both Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay lovers can agree on—it is perfect for dinners or parties where there are different palates to satisfy.
