Appellation: Dry Creek Valley, Kemp Vineyard
Winemaking: Hand harvested ripe mature fruit. Destemmed for a long, cold soak. Temperature controlled fermentation for full fruit complexity and depth of color. Extended maceration until full varietal characteristic achieved.
Barrel Aging: 16 months in 85% French and 15% American oak
Release: June 2009
Bottled: August 2009
Tasting Notes: A Candied Black Licorice, Coconut shell, and Black Pepper nose bring out the true varietal characteristics of this bold Zinfandel. An ultra Creamy entry compliments the full intense body with rich dark stone fruits and stewed black plums. The fruity mid palate and structure will compliment spicy barbeque dishes and your favorite pizza.
