Appellation: Dry Creek Valley, Kemp Vineyard
Winemaking: Hand harvested ripe mature fruit. Destemmed for a long, cold soak. Temperature controlled fermentation for full fruit complexity and depth of color. Extended maceration until full varietal characteristic achieved.
Barrel Aging: 16 months in French oak
Tasting Notes: Loads of black licorice waft in the glass next to the suggestion of stone fruits. Dried plums with a slight caramelization reminiscent of molasses tease the senses. Silky tannins add texture and roundness on the palette. This is an elegant Zin to pair with baby back ribs, hearty stews or roast turkey.
